EVENT OVERVIEW
 

The Golf Channel Amateur Tour will once again return to the Trump National Doral Resort to host the Doral Amateur Championship.  We are scheduled to play one round on the Blue and one round on the Red course.  The Blue Monster has hosted over 55 PGA Tour events.  Every great golfer in the past 55 years has played at the famed Blue Monster.  Now it is your turn as you will get to walk in the same footsteps as all of the greats as you test your game against one of the great courses in the world.

Entry fee includes all green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, player welcome packs, generous prize fund, and scoring.

 

QUALIFIERS

The top 3 finishers per flight, including ties, will earn an exemption into the 2020 National Championship.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS / PAIRINGS

Friday, January 3rd, 2020

Tournament check-in will be from 3:30pm to 6:30pm in the Imperilal Ball Room at the Doral  Resort outside the Golf Shop

 

Saturday January 4th, 2020

First Round of play from 7:30 to 9:30 am off Holes #1 and #10

 

Sunday January 5th, 2020

Final Round of play from 7:30 to 9:30 am off Holes #1 and #10

 

Sunday January 5th, 2020

Awards Presentation in the Imperial Ball Room as soon as the flight is completed.

 

 

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT OPTION

 

$595 is the entry fee and it includes one scheduled round on the Blue Monster Course and one scheduled round for the Red Tiger Course.  Entry fee includes all green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, player welcome packs, generous prize fund, and scoring

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

 

Registration Opens on October 1st at noon and closes on December 27th at Noon.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

A $75 Cancellation fee applies to any cancellation prior to December 27th, 2020 an 12:00PM.  Any cancellation after December 27th, 2020 an 12:00PM will not be refunded for any reason.

 

CADDIES

 

Personal Caddies can be reserved by e-mailing Daniel Atkinson, Golf Tournament Director, at datkinson@trumphotels.com.  The cost of caddies are $135 per round paid to the Doral Golf Shop with a minimum cash gratuity of $40 paid directly to the caddie.  Caddies go fast so reserve your caddie as quickly as possible.  Please reserve your caddie by December 27th, 2019.

Doral Room Rates for Golf Channel Am Tour

The Doral Resort is offereing a room rate of $208++.   

 

Resort Fee

A per room, per day hotel resort services fee of $20.00 will be applied to each guest room upon check-in. The daily included services are guest room wireless high speed internet access, unlimited toll-free and local calls (prefixes 305, 954, and 786), usage of the resort fitness center featuring Technogym equipment, individual beach shuttle transportation (reservations required 24 hours in advance), variety of daily Resort activities, digital newspaper, and turndown service available upon request. Rates are subject to applicable taxes (currently 13%) and are subject to change.

 

CUT-OFF DATE

After the reservation cut-off date of Wednesday, December 4, 2019, the Hotel will release all unreserved rooms for general sale. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Hotel on a space and rate availability basis. If the Group Room Rate is not available after the cut-off date, the Hotel’s prevailing rack rates will apply to confirm additional reservation requests.

 

Individual Reservations: Each individual will be responsible for making their own reservations.  Attendees can reserve, modify or cancel their stay  by calling 800-713-6725 or 305-592-2000 and letting the resort know you are with the Golf Channel Am Tour. Reservation requests must be made by the cut-off date in order to qualify for the group rate.   

 

Reservations must be made by December 4th to get the special room rate.
