Named in 1988 as one of the best new resort golf courses in America, The Golf Club Fossil Creek continues to re-define the daily fee golf experience in the Southwest thanks to its captivating Arnold Palmer-designed championship golf course, array of world-class amenities, and superlative guest service.
One of the last courses to be personally designed by The King himself, The Golf Club Fossil Creek's spectacular par-72, 6865-yard layout was designed by Palmer to blend seamlessly with its gorgeous natural surroundings on the site of an old quarry. Beautiful limestone cliffs, contoured bluffs and massive trees frame gently rolling Bermuda fairways and manicured greens, with an abundance of rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes creating both strategic diversity and a breathtaking backdrop for golf. While challenging for scratch golfers, multiple tees on each hole help golfers of all ages and abilities enjoy one of Texas' most memorable resort golf experiences.
EVENT OVERVIEW
FORMAT
18-hole stroke play championship. All entries are on a first come, first served basis. A sudden death on-course playoff will be held to determine winners of any flight that is tied after 18 holes, weather and course availability permitting
Entry Fee: $130
Entry Deadline: Sunday December 1, 2019 @ 8:00 AM CST - there will a $25 late fee added to any registration that takes place after the entry deadline, subject to approval by the Tour Director
Includes: 18 holes of golf w/ cart, range balls, prize fund for top finishers (25-30%) in each flight, tournament setup & scoring
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Registration / Check-In: 8:30-12:00pm
All participants must check-in with the tournament committee AT LEAST 20 minutes prior to their scheduled tee off time. Players will have the opportunity to enter into the optional $20 flight skins, $10 giant skins, and/or $10 CTP games (cash only) at this time. Troops First Raffle tickets will also be sold for $20 each, with half the total collected going to the Troops First Foundation and half to the player whose ticket is drawn.
Starting Times: 9:30 First Tee Start
Starting times/pairings will typically be emailed to each participant and posted on the tournament webpage 48 hours in advance of the tournament.
Awards Ceremony: 1:30pm-4:00pm
A picture of the winner of each flight will be taken for submission to the website. If you have won a gift certificate or skin(s) and do not pick it up after play, it will be held for you until the next event you play in. Gift cards will be paid out to the top 25-30% of each flight. The champions of each flight will receive a trophy or like award.
